welcome to Shield

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Shield's Sheffield office will be closed to client drop-in services for six weeks starting 14 April 2008. The closure is due to preparation needed to transfer services to the newly renovated front building. Staff will still be available during this time to deal with emergencies on an outreach basis. The gym will continue to operate for pre-booked appointments only. Any client wishing to travel to Rotherham to use the drop-in services there can visit on Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Shield apologies for any inconvenience caused during this exciting time. We look forward to greeting all of you in the new centre very soon!

Shield is a charitable organisation staffed mainly by volunteers from all walks of life. We are committed to improving the quality of life of those infected and affected by HIV.

HIV is an issue for everyone

Thousands of new cases of HIV are still being diagnosed in the UK each year and the only way we can stop it spreading is by creating a more aware society in which everyone takes action. For HIV/AIDS information, resources and links, click here.

keyrings and collection boxes

The sale of keyrings and the distribution of collection boxes are both important ways by which Shield raises funds for its services. Keyrings, on sale for just £1 each, include a handy pound coin replacement for use in trolley carts. Click here to order both.
